My Journey
After a decade spent achieving accolades as an accomplished documentary filmmaker and commercial director, a profound realization surfaced concerning the state of my inner well-being.
The toll of chronic anxiety, intermittent bouts of depression, and persistent obsessive-compulsive thoughts and ruminations left me feeling suffocated and lost.
My approach to life had been structured around a relentless "problem-solution" mindset, exacerbating my suffering, which required more than five years to heal and implement a significant life shift.
As a Contemplative Psychotherapist, my primary focus revolves around aiding you in integrating transformative experiences and significant life transitions. I leverage a robust personal practice of mindfulness, meditation, and healing through non-ordinary states to facilitate this process.
Over the past five years, I have dedicated 500 plus hours to diverse styles of meditation retreats, periods of silence, and ascetic practices. My commitment to deepening my understanding of maitri (self-compassion) has led me to study under esteemed facilitators, enabling me to share these powerful tools with my clients.
Now, as a committed husband, dedicated father, impassioned artist, spiritual journeyman, mental health professional, and perpetual student, I approach my role in the helping profession through the lens of my own profound transformations.
This journey commenced with a series of indigenous shamanic ceremonies, profound rites of passage experiences, and numerous nonordinary states of consciousness. Additionally, it involved intensive engagement with therapists and highly skilled healing facilitators. I came to a profound realization that authentic alignment with my purpose necessitated rigorous and introspective effort.
