Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP):
Healing Through Expanded Awareness
A grounded, compassionate path toward insight, relief, and transformation.
What is KAP?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a gentle, intentional way to access deeper healing and meaningful shifts. Integrating ketamine with therapy supports transformative breakthroughs and builds new psychological pathways—helping you move through stuck states toward renewed clarity and emotional flexibility.

The KAP Process—Step by Step
Screening & Intake
Comprehensive psychological and medical evaluation to assess readiness and safety.
Preparation Session(s)
Build therapeutic rapport, alliance, set intentions, review consent and safety.
KAP Dosing Session
Administered according to your needs (oral, sublingual, intramuscular, etc.), typically lasting ~1.5 - 3 hours in a sensory-supportive environment.
Integration Session(s)
Typically 24 - 36 hours following your dosing session. Reflect on emerging insights, stabilize emotional shifts, translate them into everyday life.
Follow-Up & Planning
Collaborate with prescriber for additional sessions, booster plans, or ongoing care as needed.
Healing Through Set
& Setting
Creating a warm, intentional setting is vital. A calm, private environment—with elements like dimmable lighting, soft linens, supportive music, and intentional comfort—helps foster safety, focus, and deep healing.
"Set and setting" isn't just a concept—it’s a clinically significant variable. Research has consistently shown that the environment profoundly influences the therapeutic efficacy of psychedelics, including ketamine (Carhart-Harris et al., 2018)
My Approach to KAP
My approach to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is grounded in over 15 years of exploring altered states through meditation, indigenous led plant medicine ceremonies, and contemplative practice.
I draw from the depth of Vipassana and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions, alongside the clinical foundations of contemplative psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Parts Work, to help clients navigate expanded states of consciousness with safety and intention.
In KAP sessions, I hold space for what arises—whether clarity, insight, or emotional release—while guiding integration so that these experiences translate into meaningful, embodied change. The work is less about chasing peak states and more about cultivating lasting presence, resilience, and connection in everyday life.
Rapid Relief + Lasting Change
Ketamine has a rapid-acting effect—often within hours—with effects lasting several days. Combined with therapy, outcomes can be deepened and extended.Enhanced Neuroplasticity
Ketamine boosts brain flexibility, opening a window for therapeutic reframing and new neural connections (PMCUtah Center For Evidence Based Treatment.)Multidimensional Impact
Clinical experience shows KAP can foster symptom relief, improve engagement, and support recovery from mental health, trauma, or substance-related challenges.
