About me
a husband, father, & contemplative therapist

Psychotherapist, David Redish with family

Hi, my name is David Redish MA, LPCC.

I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen.

I'm a husband, father, and contemplative psychotherapist based in Boulder, Colorado. My work is rooted in the belief that therapy isn’t just about solving problems — it’s about reconnecting to what matters most: your inner clarity, your relationships, and your sense of belonging.

I work with dads, parents, couples, and individuals navigating deep life transitions — including new fatherhood, grief, fertility challenges, and the integration of non-ordinary experiences like psychedelics or ketamine therapy.

My approach is warm, grounded, and presence-based. I help clients slow down, listen inwardly, and move through difficult experiences with more clarity and compassion.

My Background

I earned my MA in Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University, where I trained in mindfulness-based, somatic, and relational approaches to healing. I’m a Licensed Professional Counseling Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado and have specialized training in:

  • Perinatal and postpartum mental health

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

  • Men’s work & healthy masculinity

  • OCD and BFRB support

  • Group therapy and integration circles

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an filmmaker — a path that deeply informs my appreciation for the nonlinear, creative process of inner work.

Why “Witnessing You”?

In a world that moves fast, where we’re often expected to carry on without pausing, I offer a space to feel truly witnessed. My clients often tell me they feel more whole simply by having their experience fully named and held — especially during seasons of grief, growth, or change.

This work is relational, sacred, and deeply human.
You don’t have to do it alone.

Outside the Therapy Room

I'm a father to two young children, a dog-lover, and someone who finds restoration in nature, music, and contemplative practice. I know firsthand the complexity of balancing care for others with staying connected to yourself — and that shapes how I show up as a therapist: human to human.

Let’s Connect

Whether you’re looking for support as a new parent, navigating a difficult chapter, or exploring non-ordinary states with intention, I’d be honored to walk with you.
