Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy
in Boulder, CO
Some patterns don't shift through conversation alone.
There's another way in.
KAP combines the therapeutic potential of ketamine with careful preparation and integration — creating conditions for change that talk therapy alone hasn't been able to reach.
You've done the work. Something still feels stuck.
Maybe you've been in therapy before. Maybe you've read the books, done the breathing exercises, understand your patterns intellectually — and yet something won't move. The depression lifts and comes back. The anxiety is always just underneath. The insight is there but the change isn't.
This is where ketamine-assisted psychotherapy offers something different. Ketamine creates a temporary shift in how the brain processes experience — a window of neuroplasticity in which patterns that have been entrenched for years can soften. Combined with intentional therapeutic preparation and careful integration, this window becomes an opportunity for real, lasting change.
For those of us living and working along the Front Range, this kind of work is now accessible close to home. Boulder has quietly become one of the more thoughtful places in the country to pursue this path.
KAP isn't a shortcut. It's a different door into the same territory — one that some people need when the other doors haven't opened.
This work is done with full support before, during, and after each session. You are not alone in it at any stage.
KAP may be right for you if any of this resonates.

Grounded in over 15 years of working with expanded states.
My relationship with non-ordinary states of consciousness didn't begin in a clinic. It began in meditation halls, in indigenous-led plant medicine ceremonies, in years of contemplative practice that taught me how to be present with what arises — without flinching, without forcing, without getting lost.
I bring that foundation into KAP work. The clinical protocols matter. The therapeutic relationship matters more. My role is to hold the container — before, during, and after — so that what emerges in the session has somewhere safe to land.
I draw from Vipassana and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions, somatic experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and contemplative psychotherapy. The goal is never a peak experience. It's lasting presence, resilience, and connection in everyday life.
The environment is part of the medicine.
Every KAP session takes place in a warm, intentional space — dimmable lighting, soft linens, carefully chosen music, and complete privacy. Research consistently shows that environment profoundly shapes the therapeutic experience of psychedelics. We take this seriously.
What ketamine-assisted psychotherapy actually looks like — step by step
Screening & intake
A comprehensive psychological and medical evaluation — in partnership with the prescribing team at Journey Clinical — to assess readiness, safety, and fit.
Preparation sessions
Minimum two sessions before your first dosing. We build the therapeutic relationship, set intentions, review consent and safety, and establish what we're working toward.
KAP dosing session
A 3-hour guided session in a supportive environment. Ketamine is administered according to your needs and medical profile. I'm present throughout — holding the space, not directing the experience.
Integration session
Within 24–48 hours of each dosing session. We work with what emerged — making meaning, stabilizing emotional shifts, and translating insight into your everyday life.
Follow-up & planning
Ongoing collaboration with the Journey Clinical prescribing team for additional sessions, booster plans, or continued care as needed.
Your safety is the foundation. Full stop.
KAP is a powerful intervention — and it isn't right for everyone. The medical team at Journey Clinical conducts a thorough evaluation before any dosing session to ensure it's safe and appropriate for you specifically.
Side effects can include temporary dissociation, nausea, and blood pressure changes. These are managed carefully within the session. Integration support ensures a grounded return afterward.
The prescribing team at Journey Clinical can accept the following insurance for medical evaluation and prescribing appointments:
Aetna · Anthem · Cigna (Evernorth) · United Healthcare / Optum
