KAP for Couples
in Boulder, CO
Two people. Two journeys.
One shared transformation.
A private ketamine-assisted psychotherapy container designed exclusively for couples, two guided journeys with preparation and integration support, held together from beginning to end.
You love each other. Something still isn't moving.
Couples therapy has helped. You understand each other's patterns, you've named the cycles. And still, something underneath hasn't shifted. The distance that opens between you. The walls that come up. The longing to feel truly met.
Relational patterns live in the body. They're held in the nervous system, in the ways we unconsciously brace or withdraw long before we've had a conscious thought. Talk therapy reaches a certain depth. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy goes further.
There is something profound about two people choosing to be that vulnerable in the same room, at the same time. The journey becomes a shared memory neither of you will forget.
This work may be right for you if any of this resonates.

Presence, not direction. Witness, not guide.
My approach to couples work is rooted in what I was taught at Naropa: that the most powerful thing a therapist can offer is genuine, non-reactive presence. Not to fix, not to interpret, but to hold a space steady enough that something real can emerge.
In a KAP session, that presence becomes the container. While ketamine opens the window, I'm tracking both of you, the shifts in your bodies, the moments of contact and distance, what wants to be seen. I work at the intersection of somatic awareness, IFS, and Buddhist psychology, and I bring all of that into the room with you.
Couples who have sat in ceremony together know that something changes in the relational field when two people are that open at the same time. This work is designed to make that possible, with safety, intentionality, and full therapeutic support before and after.
The space is built to hold both of you.
Each journey takes place in a warm, private, intentionally curated environment: soft light, carefully chosen music, linens, and the space to be completely present without interruption. The setting is not incidental. It's part of the medicine. We take that seriously for couples especially, where the relational field itself is part of what's being held.
What KAP for Couples actually looks like, from beginning to end
Intake session (75 min, together)
We meet as a couple. This is where we explore your relational history, your intentions for the work, and whether KAP is the right container for you at this time. If it's not the right fit, the remaining package cost is refunded.
Medical evaluation
Each partner undergoes a thorough medical screening with our licensed prescribing team, assessing safety, readiness, and appropriate dosing. This is handled separately from our therapeutic sessions.
Preparation session (60 min, together)
We deepen the therapeutic relationship, set intentions as a couple, review consent and safety protocols, and prepare your nervous systems for what's ahead. This session is as important as the journey itself.
Journey 1 (3.5 hrs)
Your first guided ketamine session, held together. I'm present throughout, tracking both of you, holding the space, and making contact when it's called for. The experience belongs to you. My role is to make it safe enough that something real can happen.
Integration session 1 (60 min, within 24-48 hrs)
We meet shortly after the first journey to work with what emerged: making meaning together, stabilizing any emotional shifts, and beginning to weave insight into your day-to-day life as partners.
Journey 2 (3.5 hrs)
The second journey deepens what the first opened. With the integration session in between, you arrive here more prepared, more trusting of the process, and often more able to surrender into what wants to emerge.
Integration session 2 (60 min, within 24-48 hrs)
We close the container together, integrating the arc of both journeys, naming what has shifted, and identifying how to carry this forward in your relationship. This is where the medicine becomes your life.
Both of you need to be ready. We make sure.
KAP for couples carries the same safety requirements as individual KAP, and then some. Each partner is screened medically and psychologically before any dosing session. The relational dynamic itself is assessed during intake, because the container needs to be strong enough to hold what may arise between you.
Side effects can include temporary dissociation, nausea, and blood pressure changes, all managed carefully within the session. Integration sessions are scheduled within 24-48 hours of each journey to ensure a grounded return for both partners.
If at any point during intake the work doesn't feel like the right fit for either of you, we'll discuss it openly, and the remaining package balance is refunded. This process only works if the foundation is right.
KAP is not appropriate if either partner has
Untreated psychosis, active mania, uncontrolled cardiovascular conditions, active substance use disorder, certain medication contraindications, pregnancy, or untreated sleep apnea. Both partners are screened individually by the medical team prior to any dosing session.
