Individual Therapy
in Boulder, CO

You've been carrying this for a long time.

Depth-oriented individual therapy for people ready to move beyond managing symptoms — toward understanding themselves, and finally setting some of it down.

Something beneath the surface has needed attention for a while.

Maybe you function well. You show up, you manage, you get through. But underneath there's something — a low-grade anxiety that won't fully lift, a sadness that keeps returning, a sense of disconnection from your own life that you can't quite explain.

Or maybe there's something more specific. A loss. A relationship pattern that keeps repeating. A version of yourself you can't seem to access. Something you've been carrying so long you've started to think it's just who you are.

It's not just who you are. It's something that happened, or something that never happened — and it can change. That's what this work is for.

Individual therapy here isn't about symptom management or behavior modification. It's depth-oriented psychotherapy — understanding yourself at a deeper level, and finding out what becomes possible when you do. I see clients in person in Boulder and via telehealth across Colorado.

You might be in the right place.

01 You're functioning on the outside — but something inside feels off.
02 Anxiety or depression that lifts but always seems to come back.
03 Relational patterns that repeat across different relationships — and you're not sure why.
04 A grief or loss you haven't had space to fully move through.
05 A sense of being disconnected from yourself — present in your life but not quite in it.
06 The feeling that insight alone isn't enough — you understand the pattern but can't shift it.

If any of this resonates, a conversation is a good place to start.

Somatic, IFS, and contemplative psychotherapy — depth over symptom management.

I don't work from a single modality. I work from a genuine relationship — with you, with what you bring, with what emerges in the room between us.

My training is rooted in contemplative psychotherapy — a tradition that values presence, curiosity, and the intelligence of direct experience over clinical distance. I've spent over 15 years in my own inner work, and I bring that alongside my clinical training.

I draw from attachment theory, somatic experiencing, IFS (parts work), and relational depth — not as a rigid framework but as a living vocabulary for what's happening beneath the surface. The goal isn't to fix you. It's to help you become more fully yourself.

  • Anxiety & depression — understanding what's underneath, not just managing it
  • Relational wounds — early attachment, family patterns, ways of connecting that no longer serve
  • Grief & loss — held with care and given the space it deserves
  • Identity & meaning — who you are, what matters, what you want your life to be
  • Life transitions — moments when everything shifts and you need steadiness
  • Somatic work — bringing the body into the room, not just the mind

The territory we navigate together

01

Anxiety & worry

The kind that lives in the body, that wakes you at 3am, that makes certain situations feel impossible. We work at the root — not just the symptom.

02

Depression & numbness

The quiet kind. The going-through-the-motions kind. Understanding what's underneath and what needs to move.

03

Relationship patterns

The ways you connect, protect, withdraw, or lose yourself — and where those patterns come from.

04

Grief & loss

All kinds. The losses that are named and the ones that aren't. Given space, not rushed.

05

Identity & belonging

Who you are outside of the roles you fill. What you actually want. What it means to feel at home in yourself.

06

Trauma & the past

Gently and carefully — at whatever pace is right. The past doesn't have to keep running the present.
